The German automaker Mercedes Benz has finally revealed the Mercedes Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series. Like most Maybach models, this is a luxurious iteration of the standard SL roadster. This car is also crowned as the sportiest model from the Maybach lineup.

Mercedes Maybach SL 680: Exterior and Interior Design

The SL 680 is the only two-seater car in the Maybach series. This car uses a distinctly new illuminated Maybach grille with thin vertical slats. Its front bumper has been redesigned and loaded with chrome to enhance its luxury appearance, making it distinctive from the standard SL Roadster.

The vehicle will be available in Garnet Red Metallic and Opalite White Magno colour options, with an Obsidian Black hood and a dual-tone finish. It is worth noting that the buyers can also customize the colour options as per their taste.

The Maybach SL 680 has uniquely designed Maybach logos on its hood and soft roof. As per the brand, some of the logo work is partially handcrafted. The car also boasts an iconic star logo upfront on the hood and it also gets a chrome-finished fin which runs from front to back.

As for the interior, this model's cabin is decorated with tan colour, and crystal white nappa leather, complemented with gleaming silver chrome finished trim parts. The seats of this model have aerodynamic scoops and a Maybach embossed emblem.

The vehicle is also equipped with soft engine mounts, an optimized quieter exhaust system, insulation, and an absorption package for a comfortable and noise-free driving experience.

Mercedes Maybach SL 680: Performance

Propelling the Maybach SL 680 is a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 petrol burner which churns out 585hp and 800Nm of torque and it is coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission which puts the power down to all four wheels, thanks to the Merecedes’s 4Matic+ (all-wheel drive) system. The car has a claimed 0-100kph timing of just 4.1 seconds.

Mercedes Maybach SL 680: Expected Pricing

Mercedes-Benz India is yet to announce the price of the Maybach SL 680. However, the Merecedes-AMG SL 55 is on sale in India and has an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.55 crore.

Once the SL 680 comes to the Indian market, we expect it to start at a premium price over the SL 55. Currently, the SL 680 is set to be delivered in Europe in 2025, and it will be brought to other markets later.
