The Mercedes Benz EQA has been on sale overseas for almost three years. Now, Mercedes Benz India is all set to launch its most affordable EV in our country on July 8, 2024.
Build and Exterior Design
The EQA is built on the same platform as its ICE-powered version, the GLA, but features a redesigned closed front grille, newly designed 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, newly designed LED headlamps, and LED DRLs. The rear profile of the EV has also been redesigned to distinguish it from its ICE counterpart.
Mercedes Benz EQA Interior Design and Features
The EQA is expected to debut in a single fully loaded variant in the Indian market, dubbed the EQA 250+. The cabin of the EV is also expected to be identical to its ICE counterpart, in terms of design and features. It will have twin 10.25-inch screens, one for infotainment and the other for instrument cluster.
Other than this, there will also be a plethora of features like a 12-speaker Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, seven airbags, park assist, blind spot assist, and so on.
Mercedes Benz EQA Performance
The EV will have a single motor front wheel drive setup with a power output, rated at 190hp and a peak torque of 385Nm. These power figures can make the EQA 250+ sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 8.6 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 160kph.
Mercedes Benz EQA Battery, Range and Charging
The brand claims a driving range of 560km (WLTP range) from the EV’s 70.5kWh battery pack. This battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 35 minutes with the help of 100KW of DC fast charging. However, the electric SUV will come with an 11kW AC charger as standard.
