To give an off-road-esque avatar to the Venue SUV, Hyundai has launched the Venue Adventure Edition with a starting price of Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom). This edition is based on the top-spec S(O) Plus and SX trims, plus it can be had either with a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The 2024 Hyundai Venue Adventure Edition has received updates from inside and outside. So, let’s dive into the offerings of this newly launched iteration.

New Updates and Features

The Adventure Edition of the Hyundai Venue houses a lot of blacked-out design inserts that can be seen on the front grille, Hyundai’s ‘H’ logo, and alloy wheels. Adding more to the theme, there is a presence of black door cladding, blacked-out skid plates on the front and rear, black roof rails, and black ORVMs. The front disc brakes of this edition are coupled with red brake callipers.

On the inside of the Hyundai Venue is an all-black upholstery with green-coloured inserts. The seats are also finished in black and have contrasting stitching in green, which is also visible on the door pads. To give a sporty and upmarket feel, the Venue Adventure Edition houses black 3D mats and metal-finished pedals.

In the features department, this special edition of the 2024 Venue SUV has features carried over from the fully-loaded top-spec variant but, the only exclusive addition is the dashcam with a dual camera setup.

Furthermore, the fully loaded SX(O) variant of the Hyundai Venue Adventure Edition boasts semi-leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, an electrically adjustable driver seat, an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, etc.

Other features include a push start/stop button, reclinable rear seats with 60:40 split functionality, puddle lamps, a single-pane sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, tyre pressure monitoring system, and six airbags.

This SUV also houses an all-LED lighting setup that can be seen on the front lights and rear lights. It also has LED DRLs.

Specifications

Mechanically, the Hyundai Venue Adventure Edition is the same as its standard counterpart.

It gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that generates 82bhp at 6000rpm and 114Nm of torque at 4000rpm. In parallel, there is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that churns out 118bhp at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque at 1500rpm.

This edition is available in both manual and automatic transmissions, depending on the variant.

Unlike the standard version of the Hyundai Venue, the Adventure Edition does not get the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Pricing and Competitors

The 1.2-litre-based Hyundai Venue Adventure edition has two variants: S(O) Plus and SX. They are priced at Rs 10.15 lakh and Rs 11.21 lakh, respectively.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol version is exclusive to the SX(O) variant, priced at Rs 13.38 lakh.

These are average ex-showroom prices, as of September 2024.

The Hyundai Venue belongs to the most competitive sub-4m segment in India, and it takes the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Mahindra XUV 3X0. Its alternatives include the Toyota Taisor and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
