Following the launch of the Audi Q7 Bold Edition (Rs 97.84 lakh), the German luxury carmaker has also launched the Audi Q5 Bold Edition, which carries an ex-showroom price of Rs 72.30 lakh. This special iteration is Rs 1.50 lakh more expensive than the top-spec Technology variant of the standard Q5 SUV.

Audi India has stated that they will sell the Q5 Bold Edition in limited numbers, but the exact number of units hasn’t been disclosed. Nevertheless, interested prospects can book this edition at the nearest dealership or via the website of Audi India

Exterior and Interior

Visually, the Audi Q5 Bold Edition incorporates several gloss-black inserts. Those inserts can be seen on the front grille, outside rearview mirrors, roof rails, window frames, and Audi’s logo.

Apart from that, the special edition of this German luxury SUV also stands on a 19-inch alloy wheel, accompanied by a damper-controlled suspension setup.

The colour options include District Green, Manhattan Grey, Navarra Blue, Glacier White, and Mythos Black.

On the inside, the Q5 Bold Edition hosts a long list of features, including Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, multi-colour ambient lighting, a three-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, Audi Smartphone Interface, and a 19-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system.

There are also drive modes: Efficiency, Comfort, Dynamic, Individual, Off-Road, and Auto.

As for safety, this SUV has disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, Audi Park Assist, eight airbags, auto-dimming mirrors, traction control, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, and much more.

Powertrain

Powering this vehicle is the same engine as the standard Q5. That said, it has a 2.0-litre TSFi turbocharged petrol engine, which is tuned to churn out 261bhp and 370Nm of peak torque. This engine powers all four wheels (Quattro) via a standard seven-speed DCT gearbox.

Audi claims that this engine can make the Q5 run from 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 240km/h.
