As we all are set to welcome the New Year, top tech giants are putting efforts to bid adieu to 2025 in a creative style. OpenAI is also in the race and followed the trend by rolling out ‘Your Year With ChatGPT’. The tool gives users a personal year-end summary, similar to ‘Spotify Wrapped 2025’. It shows how people have used ChatGPT throughout the year.
What is ‘Your Year With ChatGPT’?
It is the first personalised recap tool for its chatbot users, which allows them to see how they have chatted this year, the types of topics they have explored, and the ways they used ChatGPT in 2025 (work, study, or personal creativity). To note, users will only be able to see the highlighted feature if they have saved their memories.
To make it more interesting, OpenAI has added some elements to make it more fun. It shows everyday chats into a digital memory book, allowing users to relive all the moments again.

How does Your Year With ChatGPT work?
The feature appears as a prompt on chat.openai.com and the ChatGPT mobile app. In case if you are interested in getting yours, ask ChatGPT directly to show its year in review. It will collect your chat history and generate a short, visual summary. The recap includes:
- Chat frequency and top topics.
- A fun “archetype” based on how the user interacted with ChatGPT.
- A creative poem or message generated by ChatGPT itself.
- Custom visuals, such as pixel art.
The new feature gives users a simple and personal way to reflect on their AI journey. It is part of a wider trend where technology companies add year-end summaries to make digital experiences more meaningful and engaging.
