Inside the cabin, Tayron is likely to come with a 3-spoke steering wheel, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, and a large infotainment system that will support all car-connect technology. The customers can also expect multi-zone automatic climate control, ADAS level 2, a wireless charger, and a 360-degree camera, among other features.
According to information available online, the Volkswagen Tayron will arrive in India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. The SUV will be locally assembled at the company’s Aurangabad plant in Maharashtra. It is likely to be priced between Rs 45 lakh to 50 lakh (all ex-showroom). To note, this is just speculation; concrete details about the same are likely to be revealed soon.
Under the hood, the Tayron is speculated to be powered by a robust 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The unit is likely to produce around 201 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Power is expected to be transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, with the SUV likely to be offered with a four-wheel-drive system.
