Even though the vivo X300 Ultra will not launch this year, new certification details suggest that the phone is getting very close to its official debut. The device, listed under model number V2536A, has just passed a major certification in China. This confirms that it will support 100W fast charging, specifically 100W USB PPS charging at 20V and 5A. With this standard, the X300 Ultra should be able to charge almost as quickly as vivo’s own FlashCharge technology.
Battery and Charging
A recent leak claims that the vivo X300 Ultra will offer a huge 7,000mAh battery. This is a major jump from last year’s X200 Ultra, which came with a 6,000mAh battery and 90W charging. For comparison, the Chinese version of the current vivo X300 Pro packs a 6,510mAh battery, while the global model has a smaller 5,440mAh cell. It is still unclear whether vivo will use different battery sizes again for the international version of the Ultra.
Camera and Processor
Industry insiders suggest that the vivo X300 Ultra will launch globally. The camera hardware looks extremely powerful. The phone is expected to feature two 200MP cameras: a main sensor with a large 1/1.12 inch size and a telephoto sensor with a 1/1.4 inch format. On top of that, the ultra-wide camera may use a massive 1/1.28 inch 50MP sensor, which is larger than the main cameras on many flagship smartphones today.
Inside, the Ultra model is expected to stand apart from the rest of the X300 series. While the other models are likely to use MediaTek chips, the X300 Ultra is rumored to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead of the Dimensity 9500. As for the launch timeline, vivo is expected to announce the phone towards the end of the first quarter next year, similar to the April release schedule of the previous generation.
