Fresh leaks from the smartphone world suggest that Vivo is gearing up to expand its mid-range lineup with a new Fan Edition model. Tech tipster Paras Guglani has revealed that the company is preparing to launch the Vivo V70 FE in India. If the information holds true, this will be the fourth phone in the upcoming Vivo V70 series, joining the regular V70, the V70 Pro, and the V70 Lite. It also signals Vivo’s plan to offer more pricing options within the same family.
Expected Launch Timeline and Key Hardware
According to the leaks, the Vivo V70 FE could make its debut sometime in the first quarter of 2026, both in India and in several global markets. It is expected to launch alongside the rest of the V70 lineup.
One of the more interesting details is the chipset. The entire V70 series is rumored to run on Snapdragon processors. While the exact chip for the FE model hasn’t been confirmed yet, the use of Qualcomm hardware indicates that Vivo is prioritizing reliable and efficient performance. On the software side, the phones may ship with the latest Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which should bring updated UI features and smoother system-level improvements out of the box.
Strategy Behind the Fan Edition
Industry experts say Vivo is likely building on the positive buzz of the Vivo X200 FE, and is now introducing the Fan Edition branding to the V series for the first time. This could help the company offer a feature-rich experience at a more affordable price, especially for users who want near-flagship performance without spending too much.
Meanwhile, the standard Vivo V70 has already shown up on Geekbench with the model number V2538. The benchmark listing revealed an octa-core processor with scores of 1,235 in single-core and 3,920 in multi-core tests, which aligns with a strong mid-range Snapdragon chipset.
Where It Fits in the V Series
If all goes as expected, the V70 lineup will replace the current Vivo V60 series in the Indian market. For reference, the V60 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and a 6.77-inch AMOLED display. The V70 series is expected to refine these specs further, while the introduction of the new V70 FE could help Vivo attract an even wider set of buyers.
