Tecno is getting ready to spice up its smartphone lineup in India with the much-awaited launch of the POVA 7 5G series. After recently dropping the POVA Curve 5G, the brand has now shifted focus to this new series, and a dedicated Flipkart microsite is already live, giving us a sneak peek into what’s coming next.

While Tecno hasn’t officially confirmed how many models will be part of the POVA 7 5G series, buzz around the internet suggests at least two — the standard POVA 7 5G and a beefier POVA 7 Ultra 5G. A teaser image on Flipkart showcases the phone’s rear, and it lines up with leaks shared by tech insider Paras Guglani. The standout feature? A triangular rear camera module bordered by an LED strip, giving the phone a sharp, futuristic vibe.

What’s got people talking, though, is what’s under the hood. The POVA 7 Ultra 5G is expected to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip — a solid performer aimed at handling heavy-duty multitasking and mobile gaming without breaking a sweat. It’s also tipped to flaunt a 1.5K AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. That’s a win for gamers and binge-watchers alike.

Battery life also looks promising. If leaks hold true, the Ultra variant will be powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery. That means fewer charges and more play, streaming, or scrolling. And when you do need to plug in, there’s reportedly 70W fast charging support to juice up quickly and get moving again.

Adding more credibility to the buzz, the Google Play Console recently listed two Tecno phones with the model numbers LJ7 and LJ9. These are believed to be the POVA 7 5G and POVA 7 Ultra 5G, and the listing mentions Android 15 out of the box along with 8GB of RAM — ensuring users get a modern software experience right out of the gate.
