Tata Motors has introduced the all-new 9-seater Winger Plus, a van designed with a focus on staff transportation and the growing travel and tourism sector. Launched at Rs 20.60 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the vehicle promises more comfort, advanced features, and improved efficiency compared to others in its category.
Comfort and Design Upgrades
The Winger Plus has been built with passenger comfort in mind. It comes with reclining captain seats with armrests, personal USB charging points, individual AC vents, and plenty of legroom. A wide cabin and dedicated luggage space make it practical for longer journeys.
Built on a monocoque chassis, the van offers stronger safety, stability, and a car-like ride quality—helping reduce fatigue for drivers even during long hours on the road.
Engine and Technology
Under the hood, the 2.2L Dicor diesel engine produces 100 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, ensuring reliable performance.
The model also integrates Tata Motors’ Fleet Edge connected platform, which helps operators track vehicles in real time, monitor diagnostics, and optimize fleet operations—an added advantage for commercial users.
Tata Motors’ Statement
Anand S, Vice President and Head of Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business at Tata Motors, said the Winger Plus has been developed to strike a balance between premium passenger experience and cost efficiency for operators. According to him, features such as segment-leading efficiency, enhanced ride quality, and the lowest cost of ownership make it a valuable option for businesses.
Expanding Tata’s Mobility Line-up
With this launch, Tata further strengthens its commercial passenger vehicle portfolio, which already ranges from 9-seater vans to 55-seater buses.
The offering is supported by Sampoorna Seva 2.0, the company’s after-sales program that ensures quick turnaround times, AMC options, access to genuine spares, and nationwide breakdown assistance. With more than 4,500 sales and service touchpoints, Tata Motors aims to expand its presence in the passenger mobility market.
