After taking the market by storm with dual- and fold-screen setups, Samsung has now unveiled its first-ever trifold smartphone. According to the official details, the handset will be sold under the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold nameplate, giving customers wider options in the foldable segment.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Screen
The model falls under Samsung’s new multi-folding form factor. It is considered one of the largest Galaxy smartphone screens to date. It folds out from a standard smartphone profile into a full-fledged 10-inch tablet-sized display.
The Galaxy Z TriFold features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and peak brightness of 2600 nits. When unfolded, users get a massive 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a resolution of 2160 × 1584. Both panels support adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
Wondering about durability? Samsung has equipped the front with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic. The rear uses a ceramic–glass fiber reinforced polymer. At the same time, the frame is built with advanced Armor Aluminum, paired with a Titanium hinge housing.
