Many Samsung fans have been counting down to the stable release of One UI 8, but the company has thrown in a pleasant surprise. The One UI 8 beta program is no longer limited to the Galaxy S25 series — Samsung is officially expanding it to more devices in the coming weeks.

Alongside this announcement, Samsung has released the One UI 8 Beta 4 update for the Galaxy S25 series, adding new features, polishing the design, and fixing several bugs ahead of the final rollout.

What’s New in One UI 8 Beta 4

Easier-to-Read Widgets
Samsung has tweaked the look of widgets so that text appears bigger and bolder. This makes it simpler to check the time, weather, or calendar events without straining your eyes.

Emergency IMS Service Updates
A new option now allows Samsung to send quick emergency updates to the IMS service — the technology that powers calls and messaging — in case something goes wrong.

Better Video Playback in Samsung DeX
For those using Samsung DeX, videos now switch to full-screen mode more smoothly, making the viewing experience on an external display much better.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

This update also focuses on stability and performance. Key fixes include:

  • Galaxy AI reply suggestions now work more reliably.

  • Voice-activated Bixby Routines are smoother.

  • Quick launch icons on the lock screen now function correctly.

  • No more errors when editing iNavi dashcam videos in the Gallery.

  • Fingerprint sensor issues have been resolved.

  • Swipe-to-call now works with TalkBack turned on.

  • The camera’s level gauge no longer flickers.

Beta Program Expanding to More Devices

Samsung isn’t stopping with the Galaxy S25. On August 11, the company will bring the One UI 8 beta update to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Fold 6, and Galaxy S24 series. The program will expand further in September 2025, giving even more Galaxy users the chance to try the new software before the official release.

With refreshed widgets, helpful new features, and important bug fixes, One UI 8 Beta 4 shows Samsung is fine-tuning both design and performance for a smoother, more polished final version.
