Samsung has revised the price brackets of select smartphone models in India. The decision impacts the Galaxy A-series and Galaxy F-series, making these devices slightly more expensive. As per official information, the new prices came into effect from January 5, 2026, and will gradually reflect across Samsung’s official website and other sales platforms.

Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, and F17 5G  Price Hike

Speaking of individual models, the Samsung Galaxy A56 has received a price hike of Rs 2,000 across all variants, while the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy F17 5G are now costlier by Rs 1,500 and Rs 1,000, respectively.

As of now, the revised pricing has not yet been updated on major e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon, which are still listing the devices at their older prices. This indicates that Samsung may be rolling out the updated price structure in phases, giving customers a limited window to purchase these smartphones at the previous rates.

Variant-wise New Prices

For buyers planning to purchase the Galaxy A56, the 12GB+256GB storage variant is now priced at Rs 46,999. The 8GB+256GB variant costs Rs 43,999, while the base 8GB+128GB version is listed at Rs 40,999, reflecting a uniform Rs 2,000 increase.

Coming to the Samsung Galaxy A36, the top-end 12GB+256GB variant is now priced at Rs 38,499. The 8GB + 256GB version costs Rs 35,499, while the base 8GB+128GB configuration is priced at Rs 32,499, up from Rs 30,999 earlier.

Samsung has not officially disclosed the reason behind this price revision. However, according to industry tipsters, the hike could be attributed to rising component prices and increased manufacturing costs. Some reports also suggest that Samsung may have adjusted its pricing strategy in response to recent premium smartphone launches in higher price brackets, including the Vivo X300 series, OnePlus 15, and OPPO Find X9 series.

Additionally, reports indicate that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship lineup could also be launched at a higher price point, further intensifying competition in the premium smartphone segment.
