Samsung appears to be getting ready for the launch of the Galaxy A37 5G, even though the company has not yet announced an official date. Before any formal reveal, the smartphone has already shown up on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, giving us an early look at its key hardware. The listing, which mentions the model number SM-A376B, suggests that the phone will use an Exynos chipset and will succeed the Galaxy A36 5G launched earlier this year.
Early Performance Scores and Chipset Details
The Geekbench listing shows that the device believed to be the Galaxy A37 scored 1,158 in single-core performance and 3,401 in multi-core tests. The unit tested was running Android 16 and had 5.08GB of usable memory, which likely corresponds to a retail model with 6GB RAM.
The motherboard information mentions the processor codename s5e8845, which matches the Exynos 1480 chipset. This chip uses a 4+4 core setup, with four performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.05GHz.
If this chipset is indeed part of the final device, it marks a notable change for the series, as the Galaxy A36 5G used the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.
A Look Back at the Galaxy A36 5G
To better understand the upgrade, the current Galaxy A36 5G launched in India at ₹32,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
Its features include:

• 50-megapixel rear camera and 12-megapixel selfie camera

The upcoming A37 5G is expected to build on this foundation while introducing a new chipset and further refinements.
