Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is coming to India soon. The tablet was launched in a few global markets earlier this year, and now the company has officially announced its India arrival. Xiaomi has also said that it will start revealing the tablet’s key features and specifications from December 22.
A dedicated product page is already live on Xiaomi’s India website, which confirms that the tablet will be sold through the official Xiaomi store, popular online platforms, and offline retail stores.
Expected price and colour options
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is already available in parts of Europe. There, the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at EUR 379.9, which roughly converts to ₹40,000. Xiaomi has not yet shared the India price, but this gives a rough idea of where it could land.
Globally, the tablet is offered in three colours: Lavender Purple, Silver, and Graphite Gray. These colour options are expected to make their way to India as well.
Big display and smooth visuals
Based on the global version, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is expected to feature a large 12.1 inch display with 2.5K resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels). The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel smooth.
The display also reaches up to 500 nits of brightness and comes with TUV Rheinland Flicker Free and Low Blue Light certifications, helping reduce eye strain during long usage sessions.
Performance and sound
The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, paired with an Adreno 810 GPU. It uses LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with support for microSD card expansion up to 2TB.
For entertainment, Xiaomi has added a quad-speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The tablet also includes a feature that boosts audio output up to 300 percent, making it suitable for movies and video calls.
Cameras, battery, and extra features
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G comes with an 8MP rear camera along with an LED flash, and an 8MP front camera for video calls and online meetings.
It packs a large 12,000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. The tablet also supports 27W reverse charging, allowing it to charge other devices when needed.
Other features seen on the global model include Xiaomi HyperConnect for seamless device connectivity and support for the Redmi Pad Pen stylus.
More details about the Indian version are expected to be revealed starting December 22, including pricing and availability.
