The Redmi Note 15 has finally been announced in China, arriving alongside the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+. Compared to the Note 14 5G, this new model brings a larger battery, a much brighter display, and some handy upgrades that make it an appealing choice in the budget segment.

A Brighter and Smoother Display

The phone comes with a 6.77-inch OLED display that supports a silky 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. What really stands out is its 3,200 nits peak brightness—enough to keep the screen visible even under harsh sunlight. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner, which gives the device a more modern feel.

Power Under the Hood

Inside, the Redmi Note 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Buyers can choose from multiple options: 6 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/256 GB, and 12 GB/256 GB.

The phone runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2 right out of the box, offering a smooth software experience.

Cameras for Everyday Use

On the back, there’s a dual camera setup with a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 sensor (f/1.8 aperture) as the main shooter, supported by a 2 MP depth camera. On the front, you get an 8 MP camera for selfies and video calls. Both are pretty standard for a mid-range phone but should cover everyday needs.

Bigger Battery, Faster Charging

One of the highlights of the Note 15 is its 5,800 mAh battery. It supports 45W fast charging and even 18W wired reverse charging, so you can top up your phone quickly—or even charge other devices in a pinch.

Features and Connectivity

The Redmi Note 15 is built with durability in mind, thanks to an IP66 rating against dust and water. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an infrared sensor, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. It’s a well-rounded set for a budget-friendly device.

Colors and Pricing

The Redmi Note 15 5G comes in three colors—Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Star White. It’s already available on the Xiaomi China online store, and the pricing is quite aggressive:

  • 6 GB/128 GB – CNY 999 (around $140)

  • 8 GB/128 GB – CNY 1,099 (around $155)

  • 8 GB/256 GB – CNY 1,299 (around $180)
