Realme is gearing up to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the upcoming Realme Narzo 90 series. The company has confirmed that the new models, the Narzo 90 5G and the Narzo 90x 5G, will launch in the third week of December, specifically on December 16. After teasing the design recently, Realme has also updated the product microsite on Amazon, confirming that both phones will be available through Amazon as well as the official Realme India website.
Realme Narzo 90 Series Features (Expected)
One of the biggest highlights of the Narzo 90 series is the massive 7000mAh Titan Battery on both devices. Realme is clearly targeting users who want long-lasting power. Both phones support 60W fast charging, but the standard Narzo 90 5G offers a little extra with bypass charging and wired reverse charging. According to Realme’s claims, the Narzo 90 5G can deliver up to 143.7 hours of music playback, 24 hours of online video streaming, and about 8.1 hours of gaming on a full charge. The Narzo 90x 5G is rated for 136.2 hours of music, over 61 hours of calling, and 17.1 hours of navigation.
Both models come with modern hole punch displays for the front camera, but there are notable differences in performance. The Narzo 90 5G features an extremely bright display that can reach up to 4000 nits peak brightness. On the other hand, the Narzo 90x 5G offers a peak brightness of 1200 nits but counters with a smoother 144Hz refresh rate, making it more appealing for high-frame-rate content and gaming.
Durability is an area where the standard Narzo 90 5G stands out. It carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, ensuring strong protection against dust and water. This makes it one of the most rugged devices in its segment.
Both phones will feature 50 megapixel primary cameras, though the design of the camera modules differs. The Narzo 90 5G sports a square camera island with three lenses, while the Narzo 90x 5G uses a rectangular setup with a dual-camera system.
Realme is also leaning into on-device AI features this year. The Narzo 90 series will come equipped with tools like AI Edit Genie, AI Editor, AI Eraser, and AI Ultra Clarity, which aim to simplify photo editing and enhance image quality directly from the phone.
