Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro are officially set to debut in India on July 24th at 7:00 pm IST. Interestingly, this time around, there won’t be a Realme 15 Pro+ in the lineup. Francis Wong, the company’s head of product marketing, confirmed that the decision to skip the Pro+ variant was made to simplify the product lineup. As a result, the Pro model will now serve as the technical successor to the Realme 14 Pro+. After the Pro variant’s details were revealed, attention has now shifted to the standard model, as the official microsite has been updated with full specifications of the Realme 15.
Performance Powered by Dimensity 7300+ Chipset
The listing confirms that the Realme 15 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ chipset. This processor has reportedly achieved a score of over 7,40,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. The chipset is tuned for performance, offering 120 fps gaming support and a peak clock speed of 2.5GHz. According to Realme, it delivers up to 20 percent better FPS and 20 percent improved energy efficiency compared to competing chipsets. For context, the Realme 14 5G global model was equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC. Although the Realme 14 series didn’t launch in India, three models from the range did make their way to the country.
Massive Battery with Fast Charging
In terms of battery, the Realme 15 packs a 7,000mAh battery — the same as the Pro variant — along with 80W fast charging. This is a clear step up from the Realme 14’s 6,000mAh battery and 45W charging speed. Realme claims this new battery setup can offer up to 22 hours of YouTube playback and 83 hours of Spotify streaming. The brand may be utilising silicon-carbon battery technology, which allows for larger batteries without making the phone bulkier. Despite the upgrade, the phone maintains a slim profile at just 7.66mm thickness.
High-Brightness Display and Rugged Build
The Realme 15 features a 4D curve+ display with an impressive 6,500 nits peak brightness, making it well-suited for HDR content. It also comes with a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth interactions, a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 2,500Hz zero-lag touch response for a seamless touch experience. Corning Gorilla Glass protection adds durability, while the device also boasts an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance — a rare offering in phones under Rs 20,000.
Camera Setup and AI Features
On the camera front, the Realme 15 includes a 50MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Selfies are handled by a high-resolution 50MP front camera. The device also integrates several AI-powered features like AI Party Mode, AI Glow 2.0, and AI Edit Genie — a voice-enabled editing assistant that supports over 20 languages.
Colours, Competition, and Expected Price
The Realme 15 will be offered in three colour options: Silk Pink, Velvet Green, and Flowing Silver. Based on its specifications and features, the smartphone is shaping up to be a compelling choice in the budget segment, with a likely price tag under Rs 20,000 in India. It will directly compete with the Vivo T4x, which also features the Dimensity 7300, and the OPPO K13, which uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4.
