The Poco F8 Ultra is gearing up for its global launch later this month, and the company has finally confirmed what many fans were waiting to hear. The brand’s next flagship smartphone will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, bringing a major performance jump over last year’s Poco F7 Ultra. Poco has also revealed that the device will feature a dedicated VisionBoost D8 chip to boost visual quality.
Official Confirmation on Performance
In a new post on X, Poco announced that the F8 Ultra will come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset yet. Built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, the octa-core processor is designed to deliver major improvements in speed, efficiency, and AI performance.
To showcase the phone’s capabilities, Poco shared its AnTuTu score of 3,944,934, one of the highest benchmark results recorded by any smartphone so far.
Alongside the main processor, the Poco F8 Ultra includes the new VisionBoost D8 chip. Poco says this chip will bring “AI Super Resolution,” aimed at improving clarity and brightness in visuals and gaming.
The global launch is scheduled for November 26 in Bali, Indonesia, where Poco will unveil the F8 Ultra and F8 Pro. The company has also teased Bose-tuned audio and a quad-camera setup on the back.
