The Poco F8 Pro is gearing up for its global debut, and if the latest leaks are accurate, it’s bringing premium features and a few surprises — including one that might not please everyone.
A leaked image of the phone’s retail box has surfaced online, hinting that the upcoming F-series flagship may ship without a charging adapter. The F8 Pro will succeed last year’s Poco F7 Pro and is expected to launch soon in global markets, including India.
A Possible Rebrand of the Redmi K90
Rumors suggest that the Poco F8 Pro could be the global version of the Redmi K90, which was recently launched in China. If true, it would inherit most of the K90’s high-end specs — including a 6.59-inch OLED display and Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
That alone positions the F8 Pro as one of the most performance-focused phones in Poco’s lineup.
Leaked Box Reveals “Sound by Bose” Branding
Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) shared what appears to be the first image of the Poco F8 Pro’s retail packaging. The most eye-catching detail? A bold “Sound by Bose” label on the box.
This is a big deal, as it suggests a continuation of the audio partnership seen in Xiaomi’s Redmi K90 lineup — which also featured Bose-tuned stereo speakers. If confirmed, this would mark the first Poco phone to carry Bose branding, hinting at a major upgrade in audio quality.
However, the tipster also claims that the Poco F8 Pro won’t include a charger in the box, breaking from the company’s usual practice. The Poco F7 Pro, for instance, shipped with a 90W charger, while even the Redmi K90 in China includes one. If this turns out to be true, Poco might be following the industry trend of dropping in-box adapters, a move that’s likely to divide fans.
Certification Listing Confirms Global Launch
Adding more credibility to the leaks, a device with the model number 25102PCBE — believed to be the Poco F8 Pro — was recently spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification database. The listing confirms 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC support, all of which are expected in a modern flagship.
If it’s indeed a rebranded Redmi K90, the phone should run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, offer up to 16GB of RAM, and provide up to 1TB of internal storage — matching the top-end specs of its Chinese sibling.
What to Expect: Cameras, Battery, and Charging
The Redmi K90 — and by extension, the rumored Poco F8 Pro — features a triple rear camera setup:
-
50MP primary sensor (1/1.55-inch)
-
50MP telephoto lens
-
8MP ultrawide camera
On the front, users can expect a 20MP selfie shooter, likely optimized for AI portrait modes.
Powering the phone is a 7,100mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and even 22.5W reverse wired charging — a standout feature for users who like to charge accessories or other devices on the go.
In China, the Redmi K90 starts at CNY 2,599 (around ₹32,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, so we can expect the Poco F8 Pro to land in a similar price bracket globally — though Indian pricing might vary slightly.
The Poco F8 Pro looks set to be a performance powerhouse, combining flagship-grade specs, premium audio by Bose, and HyperOS refinements. The only potential disappointment could be the missing charger, if the leak proves accurate.
Still, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a massive battery, and a focus on sound and display quality, Poco seems ready to push its F-series into a more premium space — one that could rival even top-tier flagships from brands like OnePlus and iQOO.
