Oppo just pulled the wraps off its brand-new smartphone lineup, the Oppo Reno 15 series, at a launch event in China this Monday. The new family features two impressive models: the top-end Oppo Reno 15 Pro and the standard Reno 15.

Both phones are running on a powerful new MediaTek Dimensity chip and come with some truly massive storage options. But the real headline-grabber might be the camera system, which is identical on both models.

Oppo Reno 15 Series Price

Let’s get right to the price. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro will start at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 46,000) for the 12GB/256GB model. If you want to go all out, the top-tier 16GB/1TB version will cost CNY 4,799 (around Rs. 60,000).

The standard Reno 15 is friendlier on the wallet, starting at CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 37,000) for its 12GB/256GB option. Both phones are set to hit stores in China on November 21st, with colors like “Starlight Bow,” “Honey Gold,” and “Canele Brown.”

Oppo Reno 15 Specifications

This is the most exciting part. Oppo decided not to downgrade the camera on the cheaper model. Both the Pro and the regular Reno 15 get the exact same, incredible-sounding triple camera setup.

That includes:

  • A massive 200-megapixel main camera.

  • A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

  • A 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 120x digital zoom.

Even the front-facing selfie camera is a high-resolution 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus. Both phones can also shoot video in sharp 4K quality at 60 frames per second.

Under the hood, both phones are running on the same powerful octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. Oppo is also being very generous with memory and storage. You can get either phone with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a massive 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage—that’s more than many laptops.

So, What’s the Difference?

If the cameras and processor are the same, why pick the Pro? It really comes down to three things: screen size, battery, and charging.

  • Screen: The Reno 15 Pro has a larger 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, while the standard Reno 15 has a more compact 6.32-inch 120Hz display.

  • Battery: The Pro model packs a giant 6,500mAh battery. The standard model is slightly smaller but still has a very large 6,200mAh battery.

  • Charging: Both phones get blazing-fast 80W wired fast charging. However, only the Reno 15 Pro gets 50W wireless charging.

As you’d expect, both phones are loaded with all the other modern features, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
