The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to bring a notable upgrade over last year’s Find X8 Ultra, with a larger battery while still keeping a slim profile. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone could debut in the coming months alongside the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, and will likely feature a quad rear camera setup.
Reports also suggest this flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, making it one of Oppo’s most powerful smartphones yet.
Bigger Battery, Same Fast Charging Speeds
The tipster claims the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will use a dual-cell 7,000mAh battery made up of two 3,425mAh cells stacked together to help maintain a thin design. Despite the increase in capacity, charging speeds are expected to remain the same as its predecessor — 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
For comparison, the Find X8 Ultra had a 6,100mAh battery with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging support. That model, however, never launched in India.
Quad Camera Setup with Dual Periscope Lenses
Earlier leaks point to a quad rear camera system on the Find X9 Ultra, including two 200MP sensors and two 50MP dual-periscope lenses with adjustable focal lengths. The primary camera could use a 1/1.3-inch sensor capable of 3x optical zoom.
In contrast, the Find X8 Ultra came with a Hasselblad-tuned camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3x telephoto, and 50MP periscope lens, plus a 32MP front camera.
Display and Performance
The Find X9 Ultra is expected to have a flat display, much like the Find X8 Ultra. It could run on a chipset with the codename SM8850, widely believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
For reference, the Find X8 Ultra sports a 6.82-inch AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution (3,168×1,440 pixels), Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
