OnePlus, at its One Power event in Singapore, has announced the Gaming Technology, which will combine hardware and software to deliver an industry-leading gaming experience. The technology has three main pillars — OP Gaming Core, OP FPS Max, and OP Tri-Chip. Let’s take a look at what these three pillars will offer.
OnePlus Gaming Technology to Offer Smooth and Fast Gaming
The OP Gaming Core is the primary, chip-level tech, which includes a custom CPU Scheduler to reduce gaming workloads and reduce power consumption. This can offer up to 29.8% Scheduler Efficiency and 11.6% overall power consumption optimisation. The next-gen Hyperrendering GPU boosts GPU rendering by delivering 80% per-frame efficiency and native-level support for a high frame rate of 120fps.

The OP FPS Max will offer the “industry-first” 165Hz high-frame rate gameplay on a customised 165Hz display. This technology supports popular games like COD: Mobile, and more games will be added to the list.
OnePlus’ Performance Tri-Chip includes three dedicated chips (the Performance Chip built on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, the Touch Response Chip, and the Wi-Fi Chip G2) for an enhanced gaming experience. The Touch Response Chip supports up to 3200Hz touch sampling rate to enable faster touch inputs, while the Wi-Fi Chip is meant to offer reduced lags and better connectivity.
The OnePlus Gaming Technology aims to cater to the growing niche of gamers and will debut with the OnePlus 15, which will come to India on November 13. The flagship phone will bring a hardcore gaming experience with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, dedicated gaming chips, and a 165Hz display (a first for OnePlus).
