OnePlus is gearing up for a major launch in China on October 27, where it will unveil its next-generation flagship — the OnePlus 15. Alongside it, the company will also introduce the OnePlus Ace 6, which is expected to launch globally as the OnePlus 15R.
Both phones will come with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 right out of the box, promising new AI smarts, smoother animations, and performance upgrades across the board.
Here’s everything we know so far about OnePlus’s big releases.
The OnePlus 15: Flagship Power Meets a New Look
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will be the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, revealed at the Snapdragon Summit earlier this year. That alone sets the stage for some serious performance gains.
But OnePlus isn’t stopping at power. The brand is also giving the phone a fresh design overhaul. Gone is the signature circular camera module that fans have seen on previous models — the OnePlus 15 will debut a new squarish camera island with two lenses inside a pill-shaped cutout, while the third lens and flash sit separately. The setup looks quite similar to the design language seen on the OnePlus 13s.
Camera enthusiasts can expect a triple 50MP setup, including a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Interestingly, OnePlus might be moving away from Hasselblad branding this time, instead relying on its own in-house DetailMax Engine for image processing.
On the display front, OnePlus has officially confirmed a 165Hz refresh rate, which should make the UI and gaming experience incredibly smooth. Rumors suggest it’s a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, offering a solid middle ground between sharpness and power efficiency.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is the massive 7,300mAh battery, paired with 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging — numbers that could make the OnePlus 15 one of the most power-packed flagships of the year.
The phone is also expected to offer configurations up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage, running on OxygenOS 16 globally.
The OnePlus Ace 6 (OnePlus 15R): Mid-Range Muscle with Flagship Touches
Launched alongside the main flagship, the OnePlus Ace 6 — which will likely be called the OnePlus 15R globally — is shaping up to be a performance-focused mid-range phone.
OnePlus president Louis Lee recently shared on Weibo that the phone will feature a 165Hz display, capable of running games like Call of Duty Mobile, Clash of Clans, and Delta Force at 165 frames per second — a clear nod to mobile gamers.
While OnePlus hasn’t revealed the full specs yet, leaks suggest a 6.83-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it’s expected to use last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which still offers plenty of performance muscle for most users.
Powering it all is a 7,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging, a clear focus on longevity and quick top-ups. The phone will also reportedly come with a metal frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP69K protection, which makes it highly resistant to dust and high-pressure water.
While some early reports hinted at a dual-camera setup, others suggest OnePlus might include a triple-camera system with a dedicated telephoto lens.
With both the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6, OnePlus seems to be focusing on three key pillars — performance, battery, and display. The brand is also refining its design and moving toward a more distinct, premium aesthetic.
If the leaks hold true, the OnePlus 15 could easily be one of the most balanced Android flagships of late 2025, while the OnePlus 15R (Ace 6) might just be the sleeper hit for gamers and heavy users.
All eyes are now on October 27 — when OnePlus finally lifts the curtain.
