It looks like Nothing is getting ready to expand its smartphone lineup again. A new device called the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has been spotted in an IMEI database, strongly suggesting that a launch could be just around the corner. While the company hasn’t made anything official yet, the listing gives us the first real proof of its existence.
Model Number and Naming Clues
The database entry shows the model number A069P, which lines up with Nothing’s usual naming pattern. That means we can also expect a standard Phone (4a) with the model number A069, similar to how last year’s Phone (3a) and 3a Pro were registered as A059 and A059P.
Looking Back at the 3a Series
For context, the Phone (3a) series earned strong reviews in the mid-range space. Both the 3a and 3a Pro featured the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging. They also carried Nothing’s signature Glyph Interface.
The Pro version went a step further with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, an upgraded 50MP selfie camera, and eSIM support.
What to Expect From the Phone (4a) Pro
Nothing hasn’t revealed details yet, but industry watchers believe the Phone (4a) series will bring upgrades in processing power, cameras, and charging. The Phone (4a) Pro in particular could see improvements in imaging, with better sensors and video recording features, while keeping the optical zoom setup that set it apart last year.
With its IMEI registration now confirmed, the Phone (4a) Pro is one step closer to launch. All eyes are now on Nothing to see how it plans to evolve its affordable-yet-premium mid-range lineup this time around.
