Nothing has refreshed its audio lineup with the launch of the Nothing Ear 3 on Thursday. The company has introduced a distinctive feature this time — a ‘talk’ button built right into the charging case, aimed at making calls clearer in noisy environments.

A New Way to Handle Calls

Unlike conventional earbud controls, the charging case now comes with a dedicated ‘talk’ button. By pressing and holding it, users can speak directly into the case. Backed by dual microphones and beamforming technology, the setup helps isolate the speaker’s voice and cut down background noise, making it easier to converse even in crowded or windy settings.

Focus on Audio Quality

The Nothing Ear 3 carries a 12mm driver and supports high-resolution audio formats, including LDAC. According to the company, the upgraded diaphragm delivers deeper bass, cleaner treble, and reduced distortion. Listeners also benefit from adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which adjusts to surroundings, and static spatial audio that provides a 360-degree sound experience.

Longer Battery Life and Better Connectivity

Battery capacity has been increased, with each earbud housing a 55 mAh cell. This translates to up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, with total battery life reaching 38 hours when combined with the case. A 10-minute quick charge can also deliver as much as 10 hours of listening. Wireless charging support adds to the convenience.

For connectivity, the Ear 3 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.4. Pairing is straightforward with Google Fast Pair for Android, Microsoft Swift Pair for Windows, and full compatibility with iOS devices.

Personalisation and Durability

Through the Nothing X app, users can customise settings, fine-tune controls, and activate features like Essential Space or even connect with ChatGPT directly through the earbuds. Both the earbuds and the case come with an IP54 rating, making them resistant to dust, sweat, and light rain.

Price in India

The Nothing Ear 3 will go on sale in India at a price of ₹25,800, positioning it as a premium option in the wireless audio segment.
