Motorola has already created buzz with the upcoming launch of the Moto G57 Power in India. But now, it looks like the company may have another smartphone in the pipeline. A new, unidentified Motorola device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website, hinting at powerful hardware and a possible next-generation Qualcomm chipset.

New Motorola Phone Surfaces on Geekbench

A Motorola handset carrying the model number XT2603-1 has been listed on the Geekbench database. The benchmark entry reveals that the phone is using an octa-core Qualcomm ARMv8 processor. The chip features two high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, a layout commonly seen in the Snapdragon 7 series.

Although Motorola hasn’t confirmed the identity of the device, early speculation suggests that this mystery phone could sit in the brand’s premium mid-range category.

Possible Use of an Unreleased Snapdragon 7 Series Processor

One detail that stands out is the processor itself. Tech tipster Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) claims the phone might be running on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5, a chipset Qualcomm has not yet officially announced. If true, Motorola could be among the first brands to test Qualcomm’s next major upgrade for upper-midrange smartphones.

The Geekbench scores support the idea of a powerful chip. The unnamed Motorola phone recorded:

  • Single-core score: 2,636

  • Multi-core score: 7,475

The benchmark also shows 14.96GB of RAM, which will likely be marketed as 16GB, and the device was running Android 16, another software version that has yet to reach the consumer market.

During the performance test, the two main cores reached speeds of 3.65GHz, while the six efficiency cores ran at 3.32GHz—figures that indicate a strong focus on performance.

Launch Timeline Still Unknown

At this stage, there is no information about the phone’s name, price, features, or expected launch date. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 lineup already includes more than 20 chipsets, with the latest being the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. If Qualcomm indeed jumps directly to a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5, it would mark a significant shift in the company’s mid-range processor roadmap, skipping the “Gen 4+” naming entirely.

More details are likely to appear as Motorola moves closer to its next product cycle.

Moto G100s Also Appears in New Benchmark Leak

Interestingly, this is not the only Motorola device recently spotted online. About a week ago, another model—believed to be the Moto G100s—was also seen on Geekbench. That phone, listed under model number XT2537-4, is expected to run the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset along with Android 16.

Its scores were much more modest:

  • Single-core: 1,018

  • Multi-core: 2,893

The appearance of two unreleased Motorola phones back-to-back hints at a busy lineup for the company in the months ahead.
