Fresh off its reveal at CES 2026, Motorola is preparing to bring its latest wearable to the Indian market. The company posted a teaser on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing a new circular smartwatch that strongly resembles the “Moto Watch” unveiled just days ago in Las Vegas.

A design shift to curves

The teaser images highlight a significant departure from the square aesthetics of the previous Watch Fit. The new device features a domed, circular display with curved glass that melts into the frame, evoking the look of Google’s Pixel Watch.

The build appears premium, sporting a metal chassis and a distinct rotating crown on the right side for navigation. Motorola’s promotional material suggests versatile styling options for Indian consumers, showing both a silicone band for fitness activities and a metal link strap for a more classic watch look.

Fitness tracking gets a major upgrade

The biggest story under the hood is Motorola’s new partnership with Polar, a Finnish brand renowned for sports science. Unlike typical budget smartwatches that offer basic step counting, this device integrates Polar’s advanced algorithms to handle heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, and workout recovery data.

This collaboration aims to lend credibility to the device’s health features, positioning it as a serious fitness tool rather than just a notification accessory. The watch also supports Bluetooth calling and integrates with “Moto AI” on compatible phones to provide notification summaries.

Specs and expected pricing

If the Indian model mirrors the global version shown at CES, users can expect a 47mm case protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, along with 1 ATM waterproofing. Battery life is rated for up to 13 days, though using the always-on display will cut that down to roughly a week.

In Europe, the watch is priced at €99 (approximately ₹10,400). If Motorola launches it in India at a similar price point, it will compete directly in the sub-₹15,000 segment, challenging established players who have long dominated the mid-range wearable space.

Market Impact & Context

By partnering with Polar, Motorola is attempting to solve a common problem in the affordable smartwatch market: trust in data accuracy. Most budget wearables are viewed as casual accessories. By attaching a trusted sports name to its hardware, Motorola hopes to attract fitness enthusiasts who might otherwise buy a Garmin or a Samsung Galaxy Watch but want a lower price point.

What comes next

With the teaser campaign officially live, a full launch announcement for India is likely imminent. We expect specific pricing and availability details to drop within the next few weeks.
