Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new and exclusive Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition, offered only in the strong hybrid Alpha+ variant. This special edition stands out as the first Maruti car to feature a premium matte black exterior finish.
Bold New Look
The Phantom Blaq Edition sports a striking matte black paint with a de-chromed exterior treatment for a more aggressive road presence. The front grille is completely blacked out, while the 17-inch alloy wheels get a glossy black finish.
Inside, the cabin keeps the all-black interior theme from the standard version but adds subtle champagne gold accents to elevate the premium feel. Upholstery is finished in perforated faux leather, and key features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a nine-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, wireless charging, and a suite of connected car features.
Strong Hybrid Power
Under the hood, the Blaq Edition runs on a strong hybrid system combining a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine producing 91bhp with an electric motor delivering 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. Together, the setup generates a combined output of 116bhp, paired with an e-CVT gearbox for smooth, efficient performance.
The broader Grand Vitara lineup also offers AllGrip Select all-wheel drive and CNG options, catering to different driving preferences.

Bookings for the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition are now open at Nexa dealerships across India. In the mid-size SUV segment, similar matte paint options are also offered by the Kia Seltos X Line, Skoda Kushaq in Carbon Steel Grey Matte, and the Volkswagen Taigun in the same finish.
