Mahindra, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, has introduced something truly special — the BE 6 Batman Edition. This is not just another electric SUV, but a limited collector’s model inspired by The Dark Knight Trilogy. It brings together premium design, futuristic mobility, and a slice of cinema that fans have admired for years.

The reveal also came at a time when the country was celebrating Independence Day 2025, with Prime Minister Modi’s speech making headlines on topics such as Op Sindoor to water cutoff: PM Modi slams Pak in I-Day speech, GST reforms by Diwali to cut daily-use taxes: PM Modi, and Terrorism, tech, more: PM’s I-Day speech highlights. Against this national backdrop, Mahindra’s launch added a pop-culture twist to the celebrations.

Price, Rarity, and Launch Date

The BE 6 Batman Edition comes with an ex-showroom price of ₹27.79 lakh. Only 300 units will ever be made, so this SUV is meant for true collectors. Bookings open on August 23, 2025, while deliveries begin on September 20, 2025 — timed perfectly with International Batman Day.

The price does not cover charging equipment, though buyers can add a 7.2 kW charger for ₹50,000 or an 11.2 kW charger for ₹75,000.

Exterior: A Dark, Bold Presence

From the outside, the BE 6 Batman Edition looks every bit as powerful as the superhero it’s inspired by.

  • Satin Black body colour created exclusively for this edition

  • Batman decals on the front doors

  • 20-inch alloy wheels that give it a muscular stance

  • Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake callipers for a sharp contrast

  • “BE 6 × The Dark Knight” rear badging

  • Multiple Bat emblems on hub caps, quarter panels, bumper, windows, and rear windshield

  • Infinity Roof etched with the trilogy’s emblem

  • Night Trail lamps that project the Bat logo

  • ‘Batman Edition’ signature sticker on the rear cladding

Interior: Luxury With a Heroic Touch

Inside, Mahindra has gone all out to create a cabin that feels exclusive and detailed:

  • A numbered Batman Edition plaque in brushed Alchemy Gold on the dashboard

  • Charcoal leather instrument panel highlighted with gold accents

  • Suede and leather upholstery stitched with sepia tones and embedded Bat logos

  • Gold touches on the steering wheel, controller, electronic parking brake, and even the key fob

  • The Bat emblem embossed on seats, labels, and even the “Boost” button

  • Batman-themed graphics across the passenger side dashboard

  • Special Batman Edition welcome animation on the infotainment screen

  • Race car-style open straps with branding

  • Unique Batman-inspired engine sounds

What the Makers Say

Pratap Bose, Chief Design & Creative Officer at Mahindra, said the BE 6 has always stood for boldness, but the Batman Edition takes it to the next level by making it personal and visually unforgettable.

Vikram Sharma, Senior Vice President at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, APAC, called Batman more than just a pop-culture icon — a symbol of resilience and innovation. He said this edition lets Indian fans bring that spirit onto the road in an electrifying way.

Anand Singh, Senior Director at Warner Bros. Discovery South Asia, added that India’s love for Batman is unmatched. This edition, he said, blends India’s passion for storytelling with the future of electric mobility.

Batman’s Timeless Legacy

For decades, Batman has been admired by both kids and adults — through comics, TV shows, and films. The BE 6 Batman Edition takes that cultural legacy and turns it into something tangible. For collectors and fans, it’s not just a car but a piece of cinematic history parked in their garage.
