The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is almost ready to make its debut, and ahead of the official launch at IFA 2025, fresh leaks have revealed nearly everything about the upcoming handheld gaming PC. The leaks, shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass, include promotional images that showcase both the design and key specifications of Lenovo’s next big gaming device.

Refined Design with Practical Upgrades

At first glance, the Legion Go 2 doesn’t look drastically different from the earlier prototype shown at CES 2025, but there are clear refinements. The sharp corners from the first-gen Legion Go return, paired with curved grips from the Legion Go S, making it more comfortable to hold.

The controllers now carry two menu buttons each, while the top edge appears to house a fingerprint scanner for added security. RGB lighting around the joysticks has also been tweaked, with a new design that resembles the Legion logo. For first-person shooter fans, the right controller features two extra buttons placed in more ergonomic positions.

On the back, the rear panel now has a larger opening for airflow and what looks like a bigger fan to help with cooling during long gaming sessions.

Hardware and Display Enhancements

The Legion Go 2 is expected to run on AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, an upgrade from the Z1 Extreme used in the previous model. With more GPU cores and a higher 35W TDP, the new processor should deliver noticeably better performance. A base version with the standard Ryzen Z2 chip may also be offered.

Perhaps the biggest visual upgrade is the switch from IPS to a 144Hz OLED display. The screen still measures 8.8 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio, but the OLED panel will bring deeper blacks, better colors, and smoother gameplay thanks to variable refresh rate support.

Price and Release Timeline

Reports suggest the Lenovo Legion Go 2 could start at €999 (~$1,170) in Europe. Pricing in the US is expected to differ slightly due to tariffs and currency variations.

The device may go on sale in Europe later this month, while the North American launch is likely to be delayed until November.
