It features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a dual rear camera setup led by a 64-megapixel primary camera, and a large 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Customers can choose between Arctic Frost and Arctic Slate colour options. The phone will be available on Amazon and across retail outlets starting August 25.
As part of launch offers, buyers can get a Rs. 1,000 discount on ICICI, SBI, and HDFC cards, bringing the prices down to Rs. 13,999 for the 6GB version and Rs. 15,499 for the 8GB version.
Display and Performance
The device sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Lava claims the screen also supports 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, which means more vivid and accurate colours.
Under the hood, the Play Ultra 5G runs on the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for faster performance. It comes with Android 15 out of the box, along with a promise of two generations of Android updates and three years of security updates.
Cameras and Photography Features
The phone carries a dual rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 sensor as the main camera and a 5-megapixel macro lens. On the front, users get a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
Photography modes include Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Beauty, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Filters, Pro Mode, AR Sticker, and Macro photography — giving users plenty of options to experiment with.
Battery and Other Highlights
The 5,000mAh battery is paired with 33W fast charging, which can fully charge the device in around 83 minutes. Lava claims it delivers up to 45 hours of talk time and about 510 hours of standby time on a single charge.
Other notable features include an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, stereo speakers, and connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.2, OTG, Wi-Fi 6, and a USB Type-C port.
This makes the Lava Play Ultra 5G a well-rounded device in the sub-₹17,000 category, with an emphasis on display quality, battery performance, and reliable software support.
