Ahead of the big iPhone 17 series launch next month, the company’s latest iPhone model, the iPhone 16e, is getting a big discount on e-commerce platforms, making it an attractive buying option around the ₹50,000 mark.
iPhone 16e Price Cut
The iPhone 16e price cut is one of the most talked-about deals right now. Launched in India earlier this year at ₹59,900 for the base 128GB version, the phone is currently selling for ₹52,490 on Vijay Sales. Add an HDFC Bank Debit/Credit card EMI transaction, and you get another ₹3,500 off—bringing the effective cost below ₹50,000. That’s nearly an ₹11,000 drop from its original price.
Amazon also lists the iPhone 16e at ₹51,999. While it doesn’t have a flat discount, there’s up to ₹1,559 cashback on payments through an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank card.
iPhone 16e Specifications
The iPhone 16e sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED XDR display with Ceramic Shield protection and peak brightness of 1,200 nits, making it sharp and vibrant.
Under the hood, it runs on the A18 chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with a 16-core neural engine. Importantly, it’s the most affordable iPhone that comes with Apple Intelligence support.
For cameras, there’s a 48MP main sensor with OIS capable of shooting 4K at 60fps. The front houses a 12MP camera with autofocus, which also records 4K video at 60fps.
Should You Buy the iPhone 16e Around ₹50,000?
On paper, this looks like a solid deal. But even with the current discount, the iPhone 16e may not be the best pick in its segment. In the ₹50,000–₹55,000 range, Android flagships like the OnePlus 13s and iQOO 13 bring stronger overall packages.
And if you’re set on an iPhone, it may still be worth waiting. With the iPhone 17 series launch just around the corner, the iPhone 16 models could see further price drops, while the iPhone 15 lineup may be phased out completely.
