With this latest update, users can now view a complete list of their interests on Instagram, based on their recent activity. These interests may include tech, fashion, auto, travel, fitness, beauty, and more. The feature influences what appears on Reels and in the Explore feed.
For example, if someone is into automobiles, fitness, or tech, they can go to Instagram’s settings and select the type of content they prefer. The platform will then adjust recommendations accordingly.
How to Use Your Algorithm Feature
First, ensure your Instagram app is updated and then follow the steps below:
- Tap the icon to the left of the two hearts on the Reels interface.
- Select your favourite topics (e.g., tech, auto, fashion, thrifting, pop music, and more).
- Tap on a topic to see more related content.
- You can even share your algorithm on your Instagram Stories.
