Infinix added a new member to its tablet family on Thursday with the release of the Infinix Xpad Edge. Launching first in select global regions, this new Android tablet is designed for users who want a big screen for both work and play. It comes with versatile connectivity, supporting both 4G cellular networks and standard Wi-Fi, making it a solid option for people on the move.

Big Screen, Slim Body

The standout feature here is undoubtedly the display. The Xpad Edge sports a massive 13.2-inch screen with a sharp 2.4K resolution (1,600×2,400 pixels). Infinix went with a 3:2 aspect ratio, which is generally better for reading documents and browsing the web than standard widescreen formats. Despite its large size, the tablet is surprisingly portable, measuring just 6.19mm thick and weighing 588g. The screen also hits a peak brightness of 450 nits and includes eye-protection certifications to reduce blue light strain during long work sessions.

Under the Hood

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 685 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While it’s not a flagship processor, it is capable enough for daily tasks, streaming, and light multitasking. The tablet runs on the latest Android 15 and Infinix has promised two years of security updates. To keep things running all day, there is a substantial 8,000mAh battery inside. For audio, users get a quad-speaker setup, and there is an 8-megapixel camera on the back for scanning docs or taking quick snaps.

Software and AI Tools

Infinix is pitching this as a productivity machine, so it comes pre-loaded with WPS Office. It also features the company’s “Folax” voice assistant and a suite of AI tools for tasks like writing assistance, translation, and screen recognition. Multitasking features like split-screen are also built-in to take advantage of that large display real estate.

Price and Launch Details

The tablet has made its debut in Malaysia, priced at RM 1,299 (roughly Rs. 28,000). It is available in a single color option called Celestial Ink. To sweeten the deal for early buyers, Infinix is including the X Keyboard 20 and X Pencil 20 stylus in the box for free, effectively turning the tablet into a budget-friendly laptop replacement right out of the gate.
