Hyundai is getting ready for its next big chapter in India, and this time the focus is on a mix of electric vehicles and traditional models. The company is planning a wave of launches designed for India-focused products, while also bringing in some global models. And just like the trend we’re already seeing, SUVs will take centre stage.

26 New Hyundai Models Coming by 2030

Hyundai has drawn up an ambitious roadmap: 26 new products in India before the decade ends. Out of these, 20 will still use petrol or diesel engines, while six new EVs are on the way. This clearly shows Hyundai doesn’t want to let go of its strong ICE lineup but also wants to strengthen its place in the EV market.

Venue, i10 EVs and a Brand-New Compact SUV

Rumours are strong that EV versions of the Venue and i10 could be in the works. At the same time, the next-generation Venue is expected to make its debut around the festive season. It should come with a fresh design, a more modern cabin, and new features. Adding to that, reports suggest Hyundai is also working on a compact SUV inspired by the Bayon, which could be an interesting new addition.

Current and Upcoming EV Portfolio

Right now, Hyundai sells the Creta Electric and the Ioniq 5 in India. Soon, the flagship Ioniq 9 will join the lineup as the brand’s most premium offering here.

The company is also evaluating a compact e-SUV based on the Inster EV, with a possible launch in 2026. Following that, a refreshed Creta Electric could arrive in 2027 as part of a mid-cycle update. Clearly, Hyundai is setting the stage for a stronger EV portfolio in the coming years.

Hybrid Tech on the Horizon

It’s not just EVs—Hyundai is also working on hybrid technology for its mainstream cars. By 2027, we could see the next-generation Creta and an all-new three-row SUV positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson. Both are expected to come with hybrid powertrains built on the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine.

Palisade and Venue Updates

There’s also talk of the Hyundai Palisade making its way to India. Meanwhile, the upcoming third-generation Venue will continue with the same 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines. Both manual and automatic transmission options will remain, but this time Hyundai will add modern features like Level 2 ADAS to keep the Venue competitive in the compact SUV space.
