HMD Global has added two new feature phones to its India lineup with the launch of the HMD 101 and HMD 100. Introduced on Friday, the devices are aimed at users who want simple, reliable handsets for everyday calling and texting. Both models run on the company’s lightweight S30+ operating system and are powered by the Unisoc 6533G chipset. HMD has also confirmed that sales for both phones begin immediately across online and offline retail channels.
HMD 101 and HMD 100 Price in India, Availability
In its official announcement, HMD stated an introductory price of Rs. 949 for both phones. However, the listings on the brand’s online store show slightly different pricing.

HMD 101: Listed at Rs. 1,049 (MRP: Rs. 1,199) for the 4MB RAM + 4MB storage model

HMD 100: Listed with an MRP of Rs. 1,099 for the 8MB RAM + 4MB storage version
Both phones will be available through the HMD India store, leading e-commerce platforms, and major offline retailers.
HMD is offering multiple colour choices as well.

The two feature phones share a very similar design and build. Each comes with a 1.77-inch display (160 × 128 resolution) with a 4:5 aspect ratio, giving users a straightforward and familiar keypad-phone experience.
Both phones use the same Unisoc chipset, though memory configurations differ slightly. A key advantage of the HMD 101 is support for expandable storage up to 32GB via a microSD card—something that isn’t specified for the HMD 100.
