Hero MotoCorp, often called India’s de facto motorcycle manufacturer, has built its reputation on reliable and affordable commuter bikes. Now, the company is preparing to introduce its next generation 125cc commuter bike, and leaks have already given us a glimpse of what’s coming. The upcoming motorcycle is officially called the Hero Glamour X, and it promises to be one of the Most Futuristic 125cc bikes in the country.
Hero Glamour X 125 Details Leak
A leaked video has revealed that Hero’s next commuter will carry the name Hero Glamour X. Positioned as the company’s latest innovation, the Glamour X aims to raise the bar in the commuter segment. Hero even claims it will be India’s most futuristic 125cc 2W offering, which is a bold statement in such a competitive market.
Cruise Control in a 125cc Bike
One of the most surprising features in the Hero Glamour X is Cruise Control. This feature is a first not just for Hero, but also for the entire 125cc commuter bike category. Even premium or sporty 125cc motorcycles don’t usually come with Cruise Control, making it a standout addition.
Leaked images suggest there’s a toggle switch on the right-hand side of the handlebar to operate this feature. While it could potentially double as a speed limiter, the presence of electronic ride-by-wire throttle hints that Cruise Control may indeed be a reality.
Modern Design and Features
The Hero Glamour X will not just be about performance upgrades—it’s also getting a fresh design and better features. Among the highlights is a fully digital Hero Glamour X LCD Instrument cluster, expected to be a color panel similar to the one used on the Karizma XMR 210 base variant and the Xtreme 250R. It should include indicators, a gear shift light, and even Bluetooth connectivity for alerts and navigation.
Adding to the modern touches, the bike will feature a Type-C charging port, another first for Hero MotoCorp. On the outside, the motorcycle gets a muscular Hero Glamour X Fuel Tank, sleek Hero Glamour X LED Headlights, and LED turn indicators, giving it a more stylish road presence.
Build and Hardware Upgrades
In terms of hardware, the bike comes equipped with an alloy wheel design, a front disc brake setup, telescopic front forks, and an engine kill switch. The left-side switchgear has also been updated to control the digital display. To improve stability and handling, the Hero Glamour X is built on an underbone chassis.
Hero Glamour X Engine and Performance
Under the tank, the Hero Glamour X Engine is expected to be the same 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit, producing around 10.39 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. However, with the addition of ride-by-wire technology, riders might also get a slipper clutch, further strengthening Hero’s claim of building the “Most Futuristic 125cc” commuter.
Launch Date
The official launch of the Hero Glamour X is set for 19th August, 2025. With segment-first features like Cruise Control, a digital display, and premium design touches, this bike could change the way we look at everyday commuter motorcycles in India.
