Google is giving its Nano Banana image generation model a bigger stage. After debuting inside the Gemini app, the AI tool is now making its way to Google Lens and NotebookLM, bringing new creative possibilities to everyday users.

Create Images Right Inside Google Lens

Imagine snapping a picture with Google Lens and instantly transforming it into something brand new with just a text prompt. That’s exactly what the new Nano Banana integration offers. A fresh “Create” tab has been added to the Lens interface in the Google app, letting users generate or stylize images on the go.

The update has already started rolling out in the US and India, and most users should see the new feature appear over the next few days.

Smarter Video Overviews in NotebookLM

Google is also upgrading NotebookLM’s Video Overviews, which turn notes into narrated video slideshows. With Nano Banana in the mix, these overviews will now include contextual illustrations, making them more visually engaging and easier to follow.

Users can even customize the look of their videos by choosing from six styles — Watercolor, Papercraft, Anime, Whiteboard, Retro Print, and Heritage. Depending on their need, they can also pick between a longer Explainer video or a shorter Brief version.

For now, this feature is rolling out to Pro users, with a wider release coming soon.

What’s Next?

Google isn’t stopping here. The company has confirmed that Google Photos will also get Nano Banana integration in the near future, making it easier to enhance and reimagine your personal photo collection.
