Samsung officially launched the Galaxy F36 5G in India on Tuesday (July 22, 2025), positioning it as a value offering for mid-range smartphone buyers. This new model brings premium software support, AI-powered tools, and upgraded hardware, aiming to deliver an all-round experience without stretching the budget.
Display, Design, and Durability
The Galaxy F36 5G features a 6.7 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother visuals and better clarity. It’s built for both style and toughness, sporting a slim 7.7mm profile and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front for added durability. The phone also features a leather back finish, available in three shades — Luxe Violet, Coral Red and Onyx Black.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Galaxy F36 5G is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1380 processor paired with up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, making it suitable for both multitasking and gaming. The device runs One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box, and what makes it stand out is Samsung’s promise of 6 generations of Android upgrades and 6 years of security updates — something rarely seen in this price segment.
AI Features and Camera Upgrades
Samsung is also emphasizing mobile intelligence in this release. The Galaxy F36 5G offers features like Circle to Search and Gemini Live for more intuitive use. Its camera setup includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), and the device supports 4K video recording with both the front and rear cameras. Other mobile AI features include Object Eraser, Image Clipper, and Edit Suggestions, making it easier for users to enhance photos and videos on the go.
Battery and Cooling
To keep things running through the day, the Galaxy F36 5G holds a 5,000 mAh battery and it supports 25 W charging. Samsung has also added a vapor cooling chamber for heat dissipation, aimed at keeping performance steady during extended use or heavy gaming.
Smart Tools and Security
Additional user-centric tools include Voice Focus that cuts the ambient noise during calls, and Quick Share which enables instant file sharing between Galaxy devices. The Samsung’s Knox Vault system is also part of the package, offering strong hardware-level security to protect sensitive data.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy F36 5G will be available for purchase on Flipkart from July 29. Pricing starts at ₹17,499 for the 6 GB/128 GB variant, ₹18,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB model, and goes up to ₹21,999 for the 8 GB/256 GB unit.
