Samsung has added a new member to its audio lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. These new wireless earbuds are designed to deliver some of the company’s premium features, but at a price that’s more accessible to a wider audience. With active noise cancellation (ANC), a fresh blade-style design, and up to 30 hours of battery life, they aim to balance performance, style, and affordability.
Sound and Call Experience
At the heart of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE is a one-way dynamic driver that promises strong bass and crisp treble, creating a fuller sound experience. To cut out distractions, Samsung has included enhanced ANC, while Ambient Mode gives you the option to stay aware of your surroundings without taking the buds out.
For calls, Samsung has equipped the earbuds with its Crystal Clear Call technology. Using AI software, it helps reduce background noise so that voices sound sharper. The improved microphone placement, positioned closer to the mouth, further enhances call clarity.
Design and Controls
The new blade look gives the Galaxy Buds 3 FE a slimmer and more modern feel. Control is simple through pinch and swipe gestures, allowing users to adjust volume or playback with ease.
The charging case has a pairing button for quick setup, and the earbuds support Auto Switch, which can seamlessly move audio between Galaxy devices. Samsung has also integrated AI-based features like voice commands for music playback, checking schedules, and even live translations through the Interpreter app.
Battery Performance
Battery life is another highlight. With ANC turned on, the earbuds last around 6 hours, and up to 8.5 hours with ANC off. Including the charging case, users get up to 24 hours of playback with ANC or a maximum of 30 hours without it. For voice calls, expect about 4 hours per charge, with the case providing an additional 18 hours.
Connectivity and Durability
The Galaxy Buds 3 FE come with Bluetooth 5.4 for faster and more reliable connections. They support standard codecs like AAC and SBC, along with Samsung’s own SSC codec for Galaxy users.
With an IP54 rating, the earbuds are resistant to dust and splashes, making them suitable for everyday use, including light rain or workouts. They’re compatible with devices running Android 11 or higher with at least 1.5GB RAM, though certain features work best within the Galaxy ecosystem.
Availability
The Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available in black and grey color options, with global sales starting from September 5. Prices will be announced depending on the market, but Samsung is positioning these earbuds as an affordable choice for users who want premium features without spending flagship-level money.
