Apple is rolling out a tool to help airlines track lost luggage using AirTags.
At least 15 airlines, including British Airways, Delta, and Singapore Airlines, will adopt this feature.
Users can share a secure link from the Find My app, showing their AirTag's location on a live map.
The airline staff must authenticate to access the link which will automatically expire after 7 days.
Users can stop sharing their AirTag location once they recover their belongings.
Apple has worked with airlines to streamline secure handling of digital tracking requests.
Some airlines, like United, will integrate this feature at select airports by early 2025.
Apple will roll out this feature with iOS 18.2 update. Only iPhone Xs and later launched devices will receive this update.
