Ducati has officially launched the new Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in India — its most performance-focused adventure touring motorcycle yet. Priced at ₹36.17 lakh (ex-showroom), this flagship ADV blends motorsport-inspired design, advanced electronics, and breathtaking performance in true Ducati style.
Motorsport-Inspired Design and Bespoke Details
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak stands out immediately with its striking “Pikes Peak” colour scheme, inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP, Superbike, and Motocross racing machines. Every inch of the bike screams exclusivity — from the carbon fibre components and low smoked windscreen to the gold-anodized Öhlins fork sleeves and a special seat embossed with the V4 logo and Ducati Corse shield.
Adding to the performance appeal is a homologated Akrapovič titanium exhaust, which not only enhances the soundtrack but also shaves off weight for a sportier ride.
Reworked Chassis and Rider Ergonomics
Built around an aluminium monocoque frame, the new Pikes Peak edition isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade — it’s engineered for sharper handling and track-oriented dynamics. Ducati has revised the steering geometry and repositioned the single-sided swingarm, giving the bike a sportier stance.
Rider ergonomics have been fine-tuned for more aggressive cornering: the footpegs are higher and set further back, increasing the lean angle, while the handlebars are lower, narrower, and less curved to allow more natural body movement during spirited riding.
Precision Suspension and Top-Tier Braking
True to its track-focused intent, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equipped with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronically controlled suspension, offering real-time adjustments for superior ride quality and handling.
Unlike the standard Multistrada’s 19-inch front wheel, the Pikes Peak gets a 17-inch front setup, ensuring more precise cornering performance.
Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema calipers paired with 330mm front discs, while a new 280mm rear disc provides strong stopping power and control.
The Heart of a Race Machine
Powering the motorcycle is Ducati’s 1,158cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 Granturismo engine — the same masterpiece derived from Ducati’s racing DNA. It churns out an impressive 168 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 124 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, offering relentless acceleration and flexibility across revs.
The engine is now E20 fuel-compliant and comes with a cylinder deactivation system, which improves efficiency during low-speed cruising.
Advanced Electronics for the Modern Rider
As expected from a flagship Ducati, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is loaded with an extensive electronics package. It includes cutting-edge features such as:
-
Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) – monitors and analyses rider behaviour for adaptive safety.
-
Forward Collision Warning (FCW) – alerts riders of potential obstacles ahead.
-
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – maintains safe distance and speed on highways.
-
Blind Spot Detection (BSD) – warns of vehicles approaching from behind.
Together, these systems make the Pikes Peak not just one of the most powerful adventure bikes on the market, but also one of the safest and smartest.
With the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, Ducati has created a machine that blends racing aggression with touring comfort — a bike that feels equally at home carving mountain roads as it does cruising long highways.
At ₹36.17 lakh, it’s undeniably a niche offering, but for riders who want the ultimate expression of Ducati performance and design in an ADV form, this is as close to perfection as it gets.
