Ola Electric has pulled the wraps off the Diamondhead electric motorcycle at its Sankalp 2025 event, giving enthusiasts a first glimpse of its futuristic superbike. The company has big ambitions for this project, with plans to start production by 2027 and an expected price tag of around ₹5 lakh. What makes this announcement even more exciting is the performance claim — the bike is said to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2 seconds.

A Design Straight From the Future

The Diamondhead electric motorcycle stands out with an aggressive, diamond-shaped front end, a continuous LED light strip, and a sharp, futuristic rear profile. The concept model showcased sleek body panels, clearly designed to set it apart from conventional motorcycles.

To keep weight in check and performance high, Ola Electric says it will use premium materials like space-grade aluminum, carbon fiber, and magnesium in the bike’s construction.

Packed With Rider-Centric Tech

While features like active aerodynamics and adaptive suspension are not new in the motorcycle world, Ola wants to push the boundaries by adding active ergonomics. This system will automatically adjust elements like the handlebars and foot pegs to help the rider maintain better control and comfort on the move.

On the safety and technology front, the Diamondhead will come equipped with ADAS, traction control, and AI integration. Ola is also working on smart accessories like a Smart AR helmet and wearables to create a more connected riding experience.

Powering the Diamondhead

At the heart of the motorcycle will be Ola’s Bharat Cell 4680 battery. By the time the bike enters production in 2027, this battery technology is expected to be further refined for higher power, extended range, and better overall efficiency.

Competing in the Premium EV Space

Once it hits the market, the Diamondhead electric motorcycle will compete directly with high-end EV bikes like the Ultraviolette F77. With its futuristic looks, cutting-edge features, and focus on performance, Ola is aiming to create a serious contender in the premium electric motorcycle category.
