CMF, the sub-brand from Nothing, officially entered the overhead headphone market on September 29, 2025, with the launch of the CMF Headphone Pro. The new device features adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), support for high-resolution audio codecs like LDAC, and offers an extensive battery life.
Audio and Noise Cancellation Features
The audio system of the CMF Headphone Pro is built around a 40mm custom dynamic driver. It supports Hi-Res audio and the LDAC codec for high-quality wireless streaming. For noise control, the headphones provide up to 40dB of adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), complemented by an Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature for calls and a Transparency Mode for awareness of surroundings.
Controls, Connectivity, and Customization
The headphones feature a set of tactile controls, including an ‘Energy Slider’ for bass and treble adjustment and a ‘Roller’ for volume and playback control. These functions can be programmed and customized via the Nothing X app. The device uses Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity and supports fast pairing with Android (Google Fast Pair), iOS, and Windows (Microsoft Swift Pair) devices.
Battery Life and Physical Design
Regarding battery life, CMF states the headphones can provide up to 100 hours of playback with ANC turned off, and up to 50 hours with ANC enabled. A fast-charging feature allows for up to 5 hours of playback from a 5-minute charge. For durability during daily use, the CMF Headphone Pro has an IPX2 water resistance rating.
Pricing and Availability
The CMF Headphone Pro will be available in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green. While the UK price has been set at £79, Nothing has not yet announced the official pricing or availability for the Indian market.
