The leading automaker, Bajaj, has launched a new electric-powered three-wheeler in India named Bajaj Riki. It is available in two variants – Riki P4005 and C4005. The former has been released for passenger use, while the latter will target the commercial segment.

Talking about the Riki P4005 first, it comes at the starting price of Rs 1.90 (ex-showroom), while the C4005 goes up to Rs 2.0 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models have reached the authorised dealership across the nation and are available for pre-booking.

It comes with a decent 5.4kWh battery setup, allowing the vehicle to run at a max speed of 25.1kmph. It offers a maximum certified range of 149km on a single charge. The company claimed that the mentioned figure is considered as highest in the passenger e-rickshaw vertical.

As far as Riki C4005 is concerned, the company has a slightly higher battery pack for obvious reasons. As mentioned above, it is for commercial use only and offers a higher range up to 164km on a single charge. It also gets an impressive cargo tray with a loading capacity of 300kg.

Both models support fast charging options, raising the tech bar in the segment. The latest offering can be charged fully in 4.5 hours. To make it reliable, the company has included a three-year battery warranty, ensuring customers use it without a second thought in mind.

Inside the heart, Riki is built using a monocoque chassis. This gives the model improved strength and durability on rough terrains. It is also equipped with independent suspension and hydraulic brakes for more stability.
