Customers can now reserve their car either at any authorised dealership or directly through the brand\u2019s India website by paying a booking amount of Rs. 11,000. Along with this announcement, teaser images were released, giving us a first look at what to expect from the new model.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"664\">Part of Citroen\u2019s New Strategy<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"903\">The launch of the Basalt X is aligned with Citroen\u2019s \u2018Shift into the New\u2019 2.0 strategy. It follows the recent debut of the C3 X range, which was priced from Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and introduced with added features.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"1219\">From the teasers, we can already see some upgrades \u2014 the cabin will feature a black and brown dual-tone cabin theme, while the dashboard gets a more premium look with copper accents on the air vents and trim. A central armrest with twin cup holders and extra storage space have also been highlighted.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1260\">Features and Expected Pricing<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1500\">Being positioned as a Basalt midsize SUV coupe, the new variant will bring more premium equipment. Expected features include push-button engine start, keyless entry and stop, and even an optional 360-degree camera system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1594\">Prices are likely to be about Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 higher than the existing trims.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1601\" data-end=\"1628\">Engine and Performance<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1629\" data-end=\"1759\">The Basalt X range is not expected to get mechanical changes. It will continue with two 1.2-litre petrol engine options:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"2030\">\n<li data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1927\">\n<p data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1927\">A turbocharged engine producing 108.6 bhp and 190 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual, or 205 Nm with a 6-speed torque converter automatic.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1928\" data-end=\"2030\">\n<p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"2030\">An NA engine delivering 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2037\" data-end=\"2063\">Technology and Safety<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2440\">In terms of features, the Citroen Basalt X is expected to include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver\u2019s display, and advanced safety equipment such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2442\" data-end=\"2577\">It will continue to offer a 470-litre boot space and 180 mm ground clearance, making it practical for Indian road conditions.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2584\" data-end=\"2617\">Position in Citroen\u2019s Lineup<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2618\" data-end=\"2862\">The Basalt range currently sits between Rs. 8.32 lakh and Rs. 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
