Mahindra has broken records with the launch of the BE 6 Batman Edition, the world\u2019s first Batman-inspired SUV. Bookings opened today at 11:00 am, and all 999 units were sold out in just 135 seconds. The lightning-fast sellout shows the incredible excitement around this one-of-a-kind collaboration.<\/p>\n
Originally, Mahindra planned to release only 300 units of the special edition. But when interest skyrocketed, the number was increased to 999 units. Even then, the entire batch was gone in under two minutes.<\/p>\n
The SUV was revealed on the eve of India\u2019s 79th Independence Day and marks Mahindra\u2019s first partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP).<\/p>\n
The BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the 79kWh Pack 3 variant of Mahindra\u2019s Electric Origin SUV, and its design draws direct inspiration from Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Dark Knight Trilogy. Priced at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will begin on September 20, which fittingly falls on International Batman Day.<\/p>\n
On the outside, the SUV looks every bit the part with a Custom Satin Black finish, signature Batman decals, and large 20-inch alloys. Details like Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake calipers, Bat insignias across the body, and Night Trail carpet lamps projecting the logo onto the ground make it stand out. Each car also comes with a \u201cBE 6 The Dark Knight\u201d badge.<\/p>\n
Owners can even choose a badge number between 001\u2013999, though these aren\u2019t exclusive. According to Mahindra, the idea is about celebrating individuality instead of limiting exclusivity.<\/p>\n
Inside, the theme continues with suede-leather upholstery and gold stitching. The interior includes embossed Bat logos, a numbered Batman Edition plaque, and a special infotainment animation. More gold detailing appears on the steering wheel, In-Touch Controller, and Electronic Parking Brake, while a custom key fob completes the package.<\/p>\n
The SUV uses a 79kWh battery that produces 281hp and 380Nm of torque. It goes from 0\u2013100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds. Thanks to 175kW DC fast charging, the battery can recharge from 20\u201380% in just 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
It also offers an ARAI-certified 682km range with three driving modes: Range, Everyday, and Race. For an extra thrill, a Boost mode delivers a 10-second surge of instant torque.<\/p>\n
The BE 6 Batman Edition comes loaded with premium features like the VisionX AR head-up display, a Level 2+ ADAS suite, and customisable ambient lighting with up to 16 million colour options. Together, these give drivers a futuristic and immersive experience.<\/p>\n
Positioned as a collector\u2019s piece at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is more than just an SUV \u2014 it\u2019s a mix of pop culture and electric luxury.
