But things may soon get interesting. Vietnamese brand Vinfast is preparing to bring in its own compact electric car called the Minio Green, and a design patent has already been filed in India. If it makes its way to showrooms, it could shake up a segment that the MG Comet EV currently rules without any rivals.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"816\">Size and Dimensions: Slightly Bigger Than MG Comet<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"1198\">The Vinfast Minio Green is small but slightly larger than the MG Comet EV. At 3.1 metres long, it\u2019s a bit longer than the 2.9-metre MG Comet, and it also comes with a longer wheelbase (2,065mm vs 2,010mm). The tyres too are bigger (13-inch vs 12-inch). While the overall footprint is still compact, the Minio Green feels a bit more spacious on paper.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1239\">Battery, Motor, and Range<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1494\">Performance is where the MG Comet EV still has the upper hand. It packs a 17.3kWh battery with a 31kW\/110Nm motor, reaching a top speed of 85kmph and offering a claimed range of 230km (though CarWale\u2019s test cycle puts it at 191km).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1888\">The Vinfast Minio Green, on the other hand, uses a 14.7kWh battery paired with a 20kW\/65Nm motor. It tops out at 80kmph and has a claimed range of 170km. While that\u2019s lower than the Comet, Vinfast tries to balance it out with faster charging. The Minio Green supports a 12kW AC charger, compared to the 7.4kW AC wall box offered with the MG Comet EV.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1890\" data-end=\"2017\">Both cars are designed strictly as city commuters, making them perfect for short daily drives rather than long highway trips.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2056\">Features You Can Expect<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2315\">The Vinfast Minio Green won\u2019t be feature-packed, but it does bring some essentials: a two-speaker setup, front disc brakes, four-way manual seat adjustment (driver only), two drive modes, all-LED lights, and manual AC controls.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2317\" data-end=\"2629\">The MG Comet EV Dashboard and cabin design have already been praised for their simplicity and quirky styling. Similarly, the MG Comet EV Left Front Three Quarter design angle has become familiar on city roads. The Minio Green may not look radically different but could add freshness to the segment.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2636\" data-end=\"2683\">What This Means for the Mini EV Market<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2685\" data-end=\"3013\">Although Vinfast hasn\u2019t officially confirmed the India launch timeline for the Minio Green, the patent filing shows the company is serious about entering the market.
