Apple is preparing to unveil its new iPhone 17 lineup next month, and while official invites aren\u2019t out yet, history tells us that the Cupertino company loves a September reveal. With only a few weeks to go, rumours and leaks have already given us a pretty solid picture of what\u2019s coming \u2014 especially for the premium iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.<\/p>\n
It seems Apple is ready to shake things up in the design department. Reports suggest the iPhone 17 Pro series will drop last year\u2019s titanium frame in favour of an aluminium frame, paired with a half-aluminium, half-glass back. The new design should be both durable and compatible with wireless charging.<\/p>\n
Another change might be in the camera housing \u2014 moving away from the square module to a larger rectangular camera bump to fit the triple-camera system.<\/p>\n
For colour lovers, there\u2019s an exciting addition: a vibrant orange finish. This will join the more classic shades of black, white, grey, and dark blue.<\/p>\n
The iPhone 17 Pro will likely stick to its 6.3-inch size, while the Pro Max stays at 6.8 inches. Apple is also rumoured to be adding an anti-reflective coating for better outdoor visibility, similar to what we see on Samsung\u2019s flagship phones.<\/p>\n
The Dynamic Island could shrink slightly, and for the first time, the 120Hz ProMotion display tech might make its way to all iPhone 17 models \u2014 not just the Pro versions.<\/p>\n
The new A19 Pro chip, built on TSMC\u2019s 3nm process, is expected to power the Pro models. Paired with a bump to 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB last year), these phones should handle Apple Intelligence features and heavy multitasking with ease.<\/p>\n
Apple is also reportedly working on a vapour chamber cooling system to help manage heat during gaming and other demanding tasks.<\/p>\n
The iPhone 17 Pro Max could see a big jump in battery capacity \u2014 up to 5,000mAh from last year\u2019s 4,676mAh.<\/p>\n
Both Pro models are expected to support reverse wireless charging (7.5W), along with 45W wired and 25W wireless fast charging, even when using third-party chargers.<\/p>\n
Selfie lovers will appreciate the new 24MP front camera, replacing the 12MP sensor on the iPhone 16. The telephoto lens is also getting a major boost \u2014 jumping to 48MP and joining the wide and ultra-wide lenses, which are already at 48MP.<\/p>\n
With this setup, the iPhone 17 Pro models could offer three 48MP cameras, plus 8K video recording and a dual-video mode that captures footage from both front and rear cameras at the same time.<\/p>\n
The iPhone 17 series is shaping up to be a meaningful upgrade, with changes in design, performance, and camera tech that should appeal to both long-time Apple fans and those considering a switch.
